Comparing Fractions

This week we used inequality signs <, > and = to compare fractions.
On Monday we used materials. This was easy/difficulty/confusing/problematic for me because…….
It was easy for me because you get one piece of fraction and get another one, then you put up top of each other so you know which is bigger.
Photo
You can see the ⅓ is bigger than ¼.

On Tuesday we used a fraction chart. This was easy/difficulty/confusing/problematic for me because…
Because I use my two fingers to mark which fraction was bigger.
Photo of fraction chart

On Wednesday  we worked without the above.  We learnt a strategy which was …… The  knowledge required to solve to  problems this way is ...
This was easy/difficulty/confusing/problematic for me because…
It was confusing because I needed to multiply the fractions but I don’t all my time tables.

How to make rainbow milk? To make rainbow milk you need all the ingredients. A bow, milk, food colouring, dishwashing liquid and cotton buds. The first to get the bow and pour the milk into the bow. Next you get the food colouring, put some little drops into the milk. Then you get one cotton bud and get a little bit a dishwashing liquid on the cotton buds. At last you put the cotton bud into the bow and then you will see what happens when the colours mixes in the bow.

Football skills

This morning we were learning some skills in football. We were teach by Steve. He didn’t teach us all the skills but he teach us the important skills when you’re going to be attack.
List skills
  1. Kick when you need to
  2. Run after the ball
  3. Turn so the other team doesn’t get the ball
  4. Attack to get the ball
  5. Use the inside and outside of your foot
  6. Dribbling to  the other team
  7. Use your body to keep the ball near you
  8. Don’t lose control when you got the ball
  9. Don’t kick the ball higher than you hip.
  10. Don’t look down to the ball look up so you know where you're going

Out of the football skills I know all these skills but I know a little bit more about where you should go when you play a game and how to work as a team.

When we were playing football I was out of control, I didn’t know where to go because we were try to get the ball and we were not working as a team.

Football is a sport the has a lot of kicking, running and of skills but that not the only sport that has skills. There is Rugby, Netball, Touch, Soccer and other sports that school play in sport camp.
